Irish Language Resource

Bredagh GAC as part of its commitment to promoting the Irish language and culture is pleased to announce it is providing beginner based online Irish language lessons (free of charge).

The lessons follow a talk to the club back in March by Irish language development officer Linda Ervine of Turas at the East Belfast Mission “Why the Irish language belongs to us all”. The lesson content is provided in cooperation with Turas with Linda’s voice and singing by Caoimhe Ni Chathail.

There are twelve lessons available each with phonetic pronunciations, sound files and resource sheets. The course is not only useful for beginners but also as a quick refresher looking at numbers, colours, basic greetings and everyday words.
