Foodbank – Message from our Chairman Malcolm
On behalf of Bredagh GAC I would like to personally thank all our members and those from Rosario FC, Rosario Youth Centre & Ormeau Road Boxing-Club for their recent contribution of time, effort and financial support with the foodbank.

The total value processed through the Foodbank surpassed £60k. £54k of this was donated from our local community, a extremely generous amount. As well as the financial and physical contributions many volunteers donated their time to allow the Good Shepherd Church to open safely for private prayer. We truly appreciate that you put your own time aside to help those most at risk. There is no kinder act than helping someone less fortunate that yourself. Keep up the great work!

We would also wish to thank Father Brendan Hickland and the Parish Committee for the use of the parish centre, a magnificent community resource that was made available to us at the drop of a hat!

A special mention must go to Mr Stephen Haughey, a member of Rosario FC. Stephen managed the running of the Foodbank for the last 14 weeks; the daily packing rota along with coordinating the deliveries 6 days a week! Thanks Stephen good job well done!

Finally, I would like to say it is during these unprecedented times we truly witness the importance of pulling together and combining our resources in the community. A learning for us all for the future.
