Bredagh GAC are delighted to announce that we have received a major boost following a significant funding commitment from Ormeau Road native Suzanne Eastwood & local business Eastwood Envirowaste Ltd, through the Landfill communities fund.
The significant six-figure cash injection of £130,000, which has been made available to the club, enables us in conjunction with BCC to prioritise upgrades to the pitches in Cherryvale. The pitch development is expected to completed in time for the start of the 2023 season.
Business owner Suzanne said “I grew up on the Ormeau Road and I am excited to support Bredagh GAC. The club provides a valuable outlet for the young people of the Ormeau Road and surrounding areas to achieve their sporting dreams. Its only right that the investment goes back to these grassroot initiatives in our local community”.
The actual funding comes through a government-backed Landfill Tax Community Fund scheme which enables those organisations operating in the waste sector to use tax relief to create funds that contribute to community and environmental schemes.
